One of the largest history and genealogy societies in Scotland. Branch meetings are held at:

  •     The Unitarian Church, Skene Terrace, Aberdeen
  •     The Moray/Banff Branch meetings are held in The Public Library, Elgin
  •     Glasgow Branch meetings are held in The Kirk Lounge, Renfield Saint Stephen's Church Centre, 260 Bath St., Glasgow

Individual membership is £10 per year plus a £2 joining fee.

This is one of the smaller societies but it has an extremely helpful membership. They have meeting every third Tuesday at 7:30 and publish three or four journals a year.

The Manitoba Genealogical Society will undertake genealogical research within the Society's Manitoba sources on a fee for service basis. Founded in 1903, the Society serves over 17,000 members and continues to assist its membership in tracing family histories. All members receive the NGS Quarterly, an 80-page genealogy publication, and the NGS Newsletter a bimonthly publication.
